26 May 2013: Hemel Hempstead, the Grand Union Canal and Bovingdon

Jonathan led this walk — a gentle and scenic six miles starting from Hemel Hempstead. In fine weather we walked west along the Grand Union Canal, before turning south to follow the Hertfordshire Way.

Mark was burdened down with guide books, from which he provided readings at points of interest, such as the churchyard at Bovingdon where we ate our sandwiches. We then returned to Hemel Hempstead along the Chiltern Way, and ended up in the Fishery Inn for tea and desserts.
