18 August 2013: Farthing Down, Happy Valley and Chaldon

Dermot organised this circular walk from Coulsdon South station, starting and finishing on Farthing Down with its spectacular view towards central London.

We dropped down into Happy Valley then headed south, making for the crest of the North Downs with a great view south, and to the the Harrow pub for a lunchtime drink. Another hour or so brought us to Chaldon church, and excellent tea and cake; two families vied to adopt Woody. It was then a brisk walk back to Farthing Down and the train.
