31st August 2014: Wadhurst Station-Wadhurst village circular

Six Red Ropers joined me on a warm and sunny day to take the train to Wadhurst Station. We then followed the Sussex Border Path to Bewl Water. Unfortunately there was too much undergrowth on the banks to actually have a view of the reservoir from our picnic spot, but we did get a view of Bewl Water from higher up.

We then climbed the hill up to Wadhurst village. The tea shop was closed but we enjoyed refreshments (tea and stronger) in the beer garden of the Greyhound Inn. Annie caught the bus back to the station while the rest of us continued up hill and down dale in a typical Wealden landscape: ten miles in all.
