9th November 2014: Farningham to Dartford

Fran had originally planned to do a walk from the Time Out site from Hever to Leigh, but there were no Sunday trains back from Leigh. Instead, we did a walk from Farningham Road to Dartford, along the Darent Valley Path, alongside the swollen Darent river. It felt surprisingly rural for a walk so close to motorways and built-up areas.

The sun shone on us eventually and we had lunch by the fishing lakes at Brooklands. On arriving in Dartford we adjourned to the Wat Tyler pub on the High Street. 4½ miles in total.
