Pauline Appleton

20140420 Pauline AppletonOur long time member and friend Pauline Appleton sadly died in March this year.
Pauline loved being and walking in nature; she said it made her heart sing. She was a talented herbalist, and shared her appreciation and knowledge of plants with us as we walked. Pauline was the email list moderator, and the voice of reason when we sometimes got ourselves in a pickle. Also a forthright promoter of train travel to distant trips. She had a way of being able to work out the best, fastest and cheapest route we could use. Pauline is sadly missed for many reasons, and mostly because she was a really lovely woman.
