7th August 2015: Women of Troy

On a warm Friday evening, eight of us enjoyed a free performance of “Women of Troy”, a play based on the writings of Euripides, in The Scoop near Tower Bridge. This tale of war and sacrifice celebrates the triumphs and tragedies of the women on both sides of the Trojan War. The staging and acting are terrific, but it did last a little longer than comfortable on the hard seats of the excellent amphitheatre which is The Scoop! Performances continue until the end of August.
