This was the latest stage of the walk from Dartford to Whitstable which some members and friends are following midweek. This was a fairly short stage along the shore of the Medway Estuary where we saw many boats, old and new. After lunch sitting on an interesting wall, we stopped for a short break at The Tudor Rose at Upnor, next to the Castle. We didn’t take much time as the tide was coming in and looked as though it might cover the footpath before long. Finally we crossed the bridge into Rochester to finish with another cream tea at Peggotty’s tea room.
