Oct 4th 2015: Hever to Leigh

A lovely walk on a warm sunny day, through woods, past Hever Castle and Penshurst Place, along the Eden Valley with some grand distant views.
Pam, Jean, Sara, Joanna, Helen, Miriam, Steve, Don and (hopefully new member) Pam.
The connecting train at Oxted didn’t wait for us so after
much discussion we decided to wait for the next one (1 hour) rather than walk from Oxted (an alternative which Don offered to lead). The delay meant missing
Helen and Dermot, sadly, and also the river Medway and its advertised swimming spot, but  meant we caught a train home at a reasonable time,
thanks to Don’s map reading.  Pictures of us having lunch below.

This walk came from a new book of ‘Wild Swimming Walks’ assembled by Kenwood Ladies Pond Association, although I think it is also in the
Time Out book.  Pam
