20th October 2015: Thames and Medway walk

The latest stretch of this long-distance walk took us from Gillingham along the shores of the Medway to Upchurch, via the riverside country park and passing Horrid Hill (a peninsula – not horrid or much of a hill). Cars were needed to ferry us at the end as there is no station near Upchurch. It was a gloriously sunny day with great views over the water to Hoo and the Isle of Grain.
