12th May 2016: London Loop, West Drayton to Harefield West

This was a very pretty stage of the London Loop, mainly alongside tranquil canals, rivers and lakes. The may and horse chestnut blossoms and the wild flowers, including wild garlic, were at their best on this sunny day. A canalside pub, the General Elliot at Uxbridge provided a welcome refreshment stop and lunch for some. Later, beside Denham Lock we took another break at Fran’s Tea Garden. At Harefield West a bus took us to Uxbridge station to return home.DSC00689
