22nd May 2016: Balcombe Circular

Another sunny day saw us walking through woodland and fields in West Sussex to Wakehurst Place, which is described as “Kew in the Countryside”. We were able to walk through to the tearoom,  keeping to the footpath. This was a beautiful walk, lots of wild garlic in the woods and a lovely view of Balcombe Lake. There were some tricky and slippery bits crossing over some gullies but well worth it.
