26th May 2016: London Loop, Harefield to Hatch End

From Uxbridge Station we took a bus to West Harefield to continue our circuit. This time we moved away from the canal to cross fields and woodland, still surprisingly rural and pretty. After passing the Rose and Crown too early in the walk, we stopped for lunch at the more corporate Ye Olde Greene Manne at Batchworth Heath. The route took us through some expensive-looking suburbia at Moor Park. Edward Bulwer-Lytton’s Pinnerwood House was frustratingly hidden behind the trees.

Finishing the section at Hatch End we caught the Overground back to Euston.
