26th June 2016: Richmond Park

A few of us who didn’t go on the Puttenham trip decided on a short walk around Richmond Park. After walking along the river we climbed up to Richmond Hill to look at the famous view and then headed into the park. We ate our sandwiches overlooking Pen Ponds and then headed to Pembroke Lodge for tea in the sunshine. The return was back down to the river via Terrace Gardens, along the river, through the site of Henry VIII’s Richmond Palace, and across the Green to the Station. A pleasant, gentle outing.
